C.W.I. has always been on the cutting edge of high performance rear suspension products and our 9" independent rear suspension is no exception. Using the track proven strength of the Ford* 9" 3rd member, which enables you to chose a greater selection of gear ratios (2.50-6.50) and the choice of standard, nodular, or a polished high tensile aluminum case, we at C.W.I. can produce a suspension unit to meet even the highest horsepower requirements.

The C.W.I. rear housing is manufactured of heat treated, cast aluminum and available in polished, or standard finish. High strength 31 spline chrome moly stub axles are utilized along with a heavy duty ventilated braking system with 4 piston Wilwood calipers and emergency brakes. This unit uses tubular style half shafts, cast lower arms, aluminum hub carriers, and heavy duty steel flanges which are available in Chevy*, Ford*, and metric patterns. In addition, these units are available in widths from 49" to 65", and they are designed to fit in all types of street rods, kit cars, and many other specialty applications.
